Rachel’s work experiments with a wide range of media, from video installation, painting and 3D. She has developed a flexibility and adaptability to all kinds of different materials, choosing the medium best suited to the project.
Exhibiting, locally and nationally, Rachel has a great interest in the means of representing ways of life using both analogue and digital visual communications. Her work stretches from iterating patterns (fractals) to the exploration of liminal matters such as myth and emotion – analogue concerns. The relationship between these concepts, and where those relationships lie, is open to conjecture, which allows a certain sense of depth in her subject matter, balanced with a sense of playfulness which keeps the work open-ended and accessible to further reflection.
