Our institutions and our networks are all virtual. Following on from that I developed a series of paintings that were inspired by the game of snooker.

Harlequin conjures up a character who is with us at times but not of us. It’s an outsider. It shimmers between the real and the virtual world. A puck-like creature, a Caliban or a shaman.
